Happy Birthday Grace! (finally)
Grace finally got her birthday party! She wanted a "science" themed party. So in a panic I called my friend Joy who was my Bio prof last semester. Joy saved the day! We extracted strawberry DNA, colored daisy petals, and made silly putty. The kids had a great time and some of the parents ended up staying to watch the fun. I was told by the parents of "This is the best birthday party ever!!" talk going around the table. We all had a great time! Thanks again Joy!
Some of the parents stayed to enjoy the science fun.
Asa mixing up his silly putty. No, Zeke wasn't cold. As a part of the party we made lab coats for everyone. The word coat got him thinking and he got on his coat, and hat and mittens (we made him take off the mittens while participating in the experiments).
Mmmmmm, pizza and Kool-aid
The party crew.
Again, my friend Jen came through with an amazing cake. The cotton candy on top was nice and fluffy in the morning, but by party time the humidity had gotten to it. Still looked great though, and tasted even better!
