Weekend-O-Fun!

Well we had a busy weekend! The kids had a blast! Saturday we took them to a free kids craft day the "Michael's" store. They loved it! And some how in all of the crazy funess they won goldfish! Yes high quality carnival style, soon to be disposable godfish. And they love 'em! Asa was convinced that "Tommy" (his fish) loved long walks and violent shaking of the bag, "playing" as Asa put it.

So Sunday Barnabas being the Super Dad that he is jumped on Craig's list and got a new fish tank to put "Tommy" and "Nemo" (Grace's fish) in, instantly attaining him hero status. With the fish tank came 3 other gold fish (2 of them are black-they are beautiful!) and a sucker fish. The kids love it and so do I. Zeke also decided to start rolling over! Two months late but better late than never I say!

I'll try this again...

The story just keeps getting better and better

Well I got Grace to sleep last night and all was well. Then I hear the thud of Asa jumping out of his bed and a dead run to our room. Yup, you guessed it! But he made it to the toilet and was rather happy afterwards "Nope I don't need the bucket Mama, I feel GREAT!" But he kept the bucket bedside nonetheless.

Wait it gets better!

I wake up this morning wondering what time it is, I look at the clock...nothing. We have lost electricity. Wonderful. Stomach flu, vomit, no electricity. This is starting out to be a great day! I look out the window and thick heavy snow covers everything. See last week it was 50 and sunny out side, we had lost all our snow! It is back with a vengance!

But obvously our electricity is back, so far so good with the kids and I took some pictures for ya'll who haven't seen us for a while. I will try to do captions under them. Love to Molly & Jed. The kids love all the pictures! Stay safe!

It must be something in the air

So here I sit. Awaiting the inevitable. Grace sleeps behind me on the floor. Her bed stripped of its linens again. Bucket close at hand.*sigh*

I hear it's going around again. This is really too much. I am wondering if I should pack anything before I move back to Duluth or if I should have a bonfire like they did back in the scarlet fever days. Nothing like this ever happened to us in Duluth. It is getting to be a bit over the top. I think I will lock us all in the house till summer. With a large quarantine sign on our front door.

My stomach is starting to turn. I don't know if it's from what I have seen and cleaned up or if Im next...I wonder if this is some sort of cosmic joke or what because really, does this happen to other people? Barnabas has no PTO left. So he may be at work whist the puke party continues at home. I have it! Maybe this is all a bad dream...

We have not dropped off the face of the earth

Yes, it has been forever since I have posted. So sorry for folks who visit my blog and wonder what the Howard family is up to. Well I don't know if you really want to know so I'll skip the gory details. Over the past week the flu has made its way through the Howard home. Starting with a scream Tuesday morning (last Tuesday) at about 2:30 A.M. "I'm gonna puke!" yelled Asa. Barnabas jumped out of bed and got the lad to the bathroom just in time! Asa has great aim! Two days later Barnabas finds him self sick at 5 A.M. Two days later I find my self up at about 3A.M. and today poor Grace woke the neighborhood with her shrill screams at about 5:30 A.M. She is sleeping on the couch at the moment (her bedding in the wash from the early morning redecorating). And soon Asa and I will join Grace and Zeke in the joyful bliss of rest. Once we are all caught up on sleep and healthy I shall post again. Till then my friends...
