Well, today started out rough. I put Zeke in a pull-up for the ride to Yinghua. No mess! I got home took it off him put on real unders and promptly placed him on the toilet seat. Moments later he comes to me and said "I did it!" With a sly grin. I say "Wonderful! Walk over to the potty chair to find it empty. I look at Zeke and he says a gain "I did it." but with a little less self assurance this time. I am trying to figure out what he is talking about. I ask him if he is dry and he looks at me a little worried and walks away. I stop him and ask him to check his pants and as I pat his bottom I realize that in the 4.3 seconds I was out of the room he had taken off his unders and put back on the pull-up and his shorts! He was rather upset to have me put him back in to big boy pants.
So then later he went upstairs to go get a book and then of course peed on the only carpeted room in the house. He had one more accident then it seemd like something clicked. With out prompting he used the potty chair on his own right before lunch. Then before nap time I put him in a pull up and walked out of the room. I hear Zeke say "YUCK!" and o thought "Oh shoot he is playing in the potty chair!!!". I run out to find him looking in the potty chair and saying yuck at the poop he he had just done in the potty chair! I just about fell over. It seems he is getting it! He knew he could go in the pull up be didn't want to! Yay Zeke! I looks like he is on his way to preschool and I am on my way to school! :)

Woking on Big Boy Life
Showing off the big boy pants.
Well its been 4 hours and 6 pairs of underwear later Zeke is napping in a pull up at the moment. We have had 2 successes and this last accident he knew he had made a mistake. So after cleaning up the couch I put him down for a nap after all his hard work. So pray that he "get's it" soon because being trained is a prereq for preschool (and if he doesn't go that means I can't go!) So there is motivation for me!

Sassy Hair!
It's so hot out...
And you say "How hot is it?" And then I say "It's so hot even our candles can't handle the heat! Yeah these candles were straight before this last heat wave. I am going to keep them up to see how long it takes for them to either fold right over or no longer stay in the holder. Candle watch starts...now...

Happy 4th!!!
We got to spen the 4th with our family and celebrate my niece and nephews 15th birthday too! We BBQ'd kabobs and lit the cake a flame with all the candles (only one of the plastic red white and blue stars melted so not too bad!). We also went up to the 28th floor of the Wells Fargo Building to watch the fireworks. it was cray fun to look down on fireworks!

Finally the School Friend Birthday Party!!!
Grace finally had her "school birthday party". Hey, it was only 6 months late, not bad! We went to a great place in St. Paul that is called "Art Start" they used all recycled materials and have an artist help the kids with their art. Grace decided to make a book for her party. As you can tell she is concentrating hard (in the photo above). She and her buddies had a great time.
